We are located in a beautiful area of Price Edward Island between 2 bodies of water - the Covehead Bay on the South and the Gulf of St. Lawrence on the North. We can walk to both of these bodies of water in 2-3 minutes and can hear the sound of the ocean surf in the evenings at the cottage.
Stanhope Golf Course is an 18 hole course 2 km down the road and there is a lovely walking path from here all the way around the Covehead Bay and connects up to the Gulf Shore Hwy (National Park) to another walkway. This is a beautiful spot to go walking, roller blading or bicycling.
The Covehead Wharf, which overlooks the sand dunes and the lighthouse, is a busy spot - you can book a deep sea trip here, order lunch from one of the small restaurants or buy fresh seafood here.
The beaches are second to none and we are a 7 minute walk to a supervised ocean National Park beach. It is surrounded by sand dunes and a warm sandy beach. You can walk for miles on this beach.
